By car and ferry
From Glasgow take the A82 as far as Tarbet, where you leave Loch Lomondside and take the A83. Follow signs for Campbeltown to Inveraray and then by Loch Fyneside to Tarbert. Caledonian MacBayne's Kennacraig ferry terminal is five miles west of Tarbert and is sign posted from Lochgilphead onwards.

By Bus
Buses leave Buchanan Street Bus Station, Glasgow to connect with mid-day and evening ferries coming to Islay, and on your return there are connections from morning and afternoon ferries.

By Air
British Airways operate two services daily (except Sundays) from Glasgow Airport to Islay. The flight time is approximately 30 minutes. The airport is alongside the A846 road about 15 miles from Ballygrant.

When you arrive on Islay at
Port Askaig- drive south on the A846 for about three miles. Robolls Croft stands above the road on the right. For Craigard continue into the village, pass two cottages on your right, then the village shop. Craigard is beside the shop and set back from the road.
Port Ellen pier or Islay Airport- north on the A846, passing Bowmore and Bridgend. After the Ballygrant village sign carry on for about 400yds passing between two rows of houses. Drive up a slight brae and Craigard is at the top on your left. For Robolls Croft continue for about half a mile, pass Ballygrant Inn and the cottage is the next house on the left set back from and above the road.
