"Looking forward to the new Session"

The 2004-05 Session got off to a good start with a successful Dinner and Ceilidh for our Senior Citizen members. It was held in Westerton Hall on Saturday 4th September.
The company was refreshed, dined and entertained. Between times everyone enjoyed some gossiping.
Angus McLean played his pipes, and our main singer was Archie McLean, aided by Past Presidents of the GIA, Dougie Gillespie, Milda Martin, and Hugh Smith with humorous recitations. The President himself contributed, and the accompaniments were provided by his wife Norma.
It was most enjoyable evening.

We look forward to the opening Concert on Friday 1st October 2004, in St Columba’s Church Hall at 7.00 pm.
The main entertainment will come from The Glasgow Islay Junior Gaelic Choir and it’s members. Aiding them will be singers, Satinum McElroy, and Ian McLean. Norma McDougall will be the accompanist.

A dance will be held on 20th November 2004 from 8.00pm till midnight, in the St Vincent Bowling Club. Music will be by Archie Duncan and tickets at £6 will be available from committee members.

The 200 Club, is still needing members and friends of the GIA to fill in mandates for £1 per month towards funds. These can be downloaded from this site, or obtained from our secretary or committee members.

Membership forms for the GIA can also be downloaded from this site.
