Drumlanrig Cottage is in a traditional style and has been upgraded to a high standard equivalent to both Byre and Farmhouse cottages. It has a garden and patio with magnificent panoramic views overlooking Loch Gorm and west coast sunsets.

Situated at Carnduncan, Drumlanrig Cottage is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is ideally located for most outdoor pursuits, especially walking, bird watching, fishing, pony trekking, stalking, cycling and unspoilt sandy beaches. The whole cottage can be rented, catering for up to six people. Alternatively, the ground floor only can be rented, which sleeps a maximum of three at off peak times (see tariff).

We have furnished and equipped Drumlanrig Cottage with your home comforts in mind.The accommodation is on two floors.

The ground floor comprises a fully equipped kitchen/diner which has a gas range style cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dish washer & dining table. Beamed double bedroom with en suite shower & single bedroom. The beamed lounge has comfortable seating for six, colour TV (Freesat) & log burning stove. The front porch/sunroom opens out to a patio area & garden. The main bathroom is also on the ground floor.
The upper floor comprises of twin & single light airy bedrooms which have wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside tables. A children's attic playroom is located off the single bedroom.

Islay

Islay, 'Queen of the Hebrides' is a beautiful tranquil island situated off the west coast of Scotland and enjoys a milder climate due to the effect of the gulf stream.

BY AIR
Flybe flies twice daily (Sundays once) to & from Glasgow Airport to Islay.

Ferries sailings daily to and from Kennacraig. Driving time from Glasgow to Kennacraig is approximately three hours.The ferry is operated by CalMac and takes two hours.

Travel Information on Islay
From Port Askaig or Port Ellen head for Bridgend. At Bridgend take the A847 signposted to Port Charlotte & Portnahaven. After approx six miles turn right at farm & small bridge (B8017) following brown tourist sign to RSPB. Keep going on this road past the RSPB visitors centre until you reach a T junction overlooking Loch Gorm (approx five miles). Turn right follow road for half mile and look for sign to Carnduncan on the right. Up to the top of the private road, take the right hand fork. You will see Drumlanrig Cottage on your left.
