Cala Sith ( a peaceful haven) is a carefully modernised, 19th century row house situated in the centre of the picturesque conservation village of Port Charlotte. The house is centrally heated and double glazed, attractively decorated and can accommodate up to six people.

The accommodation consists of:
Three Bedrooms - one double (with an en-suite bathroom) and two twin bedrooms.
Two Bathrooms - the en-suite with a shower over the bath, the second with a shower enclosure.
Large Lounge - TV, DVD and electric flame effect fireplace radiator.
Modern Kitchen - with an open plan dining area, fully equipped with all cooking and dining utensils, electric hob/convection oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and an automatic washer/dryer for clothes. The dining area seats six.
Entrance Area - for storage of coats, anoraks, boots etc.
Walled in Patio - with garden furniture
Garage - for storage of bicycles, golf clubs, fishing rods etc.
Miscellaneous: Bedding and towels are provided. All beds are fitted with electric blankets. Children are welcome; a cot is available on request; but pets are accepted by prior arrangement only please. The house is non-smoking throughout.

Amenities: The village fishing pier, a safe sandy beach and the village shop/post office/petrol station are all within 200 yards of the house. Port Charlotte itself is home to the Museum of Islay Life, the Wildlife Centre and the Port Mor Centre - all within a short walking distance of the house, as is the Port Charlotte Hotel bar & restaurants, the Lochindaal Hotel pub and the Croft Kitchen restaurant. The house is conveniently situated for visits to Islay's other attractions, including the whisky distilleries, the RSPB Centre, and the island's several historical and heritage sites. Sports and outdoor activities include fishing (sea, loch and river), boating, pony trekking, bird watching, golf at the championship Machrie course, swimming at the MacTaggart Leisure Centre pool, cycling, nature walks or simply relaxing on the island's extraordinary beaches.

Travel to Islay is either by Car Ferry from Kennacraig just south of Tarbert on the Campbeltown road, (timetable and online booking available at www.calmac.co.uk) or by air from Glasgow Airport - flights operated by Loganair timetable and online booking at www.flybe.com

Booking: The house is typically rented by the week, from Saturday 1:00pm to the following Saturday 10:00am, with prices ranging from £300 to £475 per week, depending on the season. Price includes electricity. When booking, please advise of any special requirements you may have so they can be accommodated where possible.
