Sample Islay’s finest produce in our Restaurant

The Restaurant at the Inn overlooks the attractive gardens which back on to the surrouding woodlands.

The Inn enjoys an excellent reputation for high quality food, which we hope you will sample during your stay. A variety of dishes created from Islay beef, Islay lamb, Islay venison, Islay pork and local fish and shellfish feature regularly on our menu’s as do the finest fresh vegetables and fruit.

The food at the Inn is all prepared in our own kitchen and is based on the philosophy of The Natural Cooking of Scotland, which encourages the use of fresh local and Scottish produce. The recent accolade of our Gold Award in Green Tourism took account of our use of fresh local and Scottish food, with our beef, lamb, venison, fish and seafood, vegetables, fruit and dairy produce sourced from Islay farmers, fishermen, producers and suppliers.

We use no frozen or ready prepared foods in the kitchen and we bake our own bread, scones and cakes and make our own jam, jellies, marmalade and ice cream. All our dishes are simply prepared and attractively presented to enable the best in Islay and Scottish flavours and tastes to be enjoyed.

We regularly hold speciality food nights; Indian Buffet Nights and Chinese speciality nights which are very popular with the locals. All our dishes are freshly made using local meat, fish and fresh whole and ground spices. Some of our more popular Indian and Chinese dishes also feature regularly on our Bar Meals Menu.
